Plate
Previous  Next

Within SNPator, a Plate is a file containing the raw results that we upload to the Raw Genotypes table of our study. It is called this way because such files are usually the output of a high throughput genotyping machine and its contents are the results of a set of tests contained in a plate.

SNPator recognizes different types of files that can be automatically uploaded into the system:

* SNPlex.

In this case, there are some reserved sample names:

   "allelic"
   "te"
   "ntc"
   "ladder"

Lines with "Omit" field = True will not be processed.

* Illumina
* IlluminaBeadStudio
* Sequenom.
* Taqman.
* XML files.
This xml file can be generated with the macro embedded in the Excel file that you can find in the Public downloads section. It is equivalent to the way you upload SNPs and Samples. This option allows you to upload genotyping results that have not been produced by the supported technologies or to transfer data from one study to another.

* TAB files.
This is a simple text file with fields separated by tabs. An example is available in the Public downloads section. As in the xml case, tab files allow you to incorporate genotyping results that have not been produced by the supported technologies.

Example files of these plates can be found in the Public downloads section
